SO, I had the best night on Thursday night! It was the long awaited Tim Finn concert and my god the night was was so much better than I had even anticipated.

Mum and I drove into the city for about 7pm, and went into the Forum... The venue was great and I loved the way you felt like you were outdoors in Greek Amphitheater. Josh Pyke was the opening act. He was rather good and I loved the fact his mate on stage played the violin, tambourine (which he took so seriously!) and Glockenspheel(sp.) I was probably the 3rd youngest person there which was strange...

Finally Tim came on and he played the following
Currents
Weather With You
Couldn't Be Done
Still The Song
Shark Attack
Unsinkable
Six Months In A Leaky Boat
Persuasion
Parihaka
Midnight Coma
Dirty Creature
Salt To The Sea
Horizon
So Precious
It's Only Natural

Not Even Close
So Long For Now

Astounding Moon
Poor Boy
I See Red

It was sooo good... When "I See Red" came on everyone danced and Tim was dancing wacky and everyone was trying to out dance him...

I waited around at the stage after the show until we got kicked out, but security told us to wait on Russel Street... After about half an hour he came out... I got his autograph and spoke to him... ALso shook his hand... I was just in total and utter awe of him... It's so pathetic but it was the best experience...

Anyhow, that's about all... I still can't believe that I met him! Now I just have to wait for the new Crowded House Cd and tour... Gosh, those Finns are amazing!

What's new?

Well, Christmas came and went. It was a pretty good day and I got some great pressies...

Eliza and Bron invited me to go to Warrnambool with them. We "backpacked", that is stayed at a backpackers hostel, but I didn't really understand the pack to a minimum theory. I bought a hell of a lot of stuff... We took the Great Ocean Road home and that was really fun. We also tred to get into Falls Festival without tickets and we Nicole Kidman-ed it, doing some really bad acting when trying to explain why we were on the road.

New Years was an interesting event. I got breathalised for the first time. Eliza thought I was going to stall or run over a cop... Which I nearly did to tell you the truth. New Years was a let down once midnight hit, so we all chatted and hung out... I grilled scones which was random.

We have been away for about 2 weeks now. S.A was great. We stayed in the Barossa Valley and the resort was great. I am also an expert wine tester now. Our night in Adelaide was strange. It's a strange city.

Margaret River was great. I love that part of Australia now. We have been to too many wineries, though we did it in style by taking a limo tour...

Now we are in Perth.

Perth is like one giant country town... Everything is in driving distance of itself... It's like being in the 70's... You see, at the Robbie concert he was talking about how he thought it was like being in the seventies and I just couldn't in my mind understand what he meant. I now do... It's a tiny city and everything seems so slow and empty. The best part about it though is the shark alarms on the beach. I love it. The siren goes off, and people just run out of the water.

While talking about Robbie Williams, when we were in Sydney he was at our hotel. We couldn't work out when we were in the lobby why they were rushing us upstairs and checking our keys. We then looked off the balcony into the lobby and saw him so we rushed downstairs. We couldn't get close enough to him but I was glad cos I didn't really want to throw up or say something stupid.

Um... That's about all... Oh and for Jenny and Ron if you read this, Albert loves Lily Allen... He dances as he drives. It's quite funny... He was actually the one who bought the Cd after hearing it in a store...

So, it's another day in the world of Rebecca... I came up with the smart idea of putting what I blog here onto my "Myspace" too... This means I can also edit out what I want people to read... Haha...

Have finished all exams and am quite happy about how I think that I went. It's funny, at the time they are so stressful, but once you've done them you really realise just how un-important they were...

I can't think about what I've done recently...

Lawn bowls night was a great time... I learnt that I have no natural ability at all... The Billy Joel concert was the best thing in the world... I love him so much, and I am sure he loves me too, he just doesn't realise it yet. Our house had been decorated for Christmas and we are entering all of the contests hoping that we can win... Work in the backyard is rolling along quite nicely, and we should have a pool again soon... Omg... Ted lost the election to bloody Steve... I was so shattered but I'll just have to wait till 2010... Shit, that's a long time to have Steve... I am going to write a letter to somone complaining about the fact he won. I reckon that Andrew Bolt in the Herald Sun would agree with me...

Anyhow... Not really sure what to write... Need to take some more pictures for myspace... It's my aim of the day...

Hahaha....

SO, it's been so so so long since I last updated this bloody thing... Have been up to the same sort of stuff as always.
Mum and Albert got back from their overseas trip to New York, Washington and Dubai... They hit the stores, and you know what that means... Pressies...
What else?

Had a great time on Friday night. Twas Jo's "I mowed the lawn" party, but due to the rain, it was held inside... It was so bloody cold outside, and I know cos I look after poor Steve who threw up quite a bit, and yeah... Jo's party punch was really good but lethal to those who are not seasoned drinkers like myself...

OMG!!! She had the cutest dogs in the world, Spanner and Humphrey. Normally I don't touch random dogs cos they smell, or bite, or have weird skin conditions, but these one's were so so so so cute.

I think only like Ron and Jenny read this and maybe Matt, but I'll update the Adam situation... We went on three dates in total and I havn't heard from him since, but then I didn't make any effort, and don't really care so yeah... He was not really me...

And in other news, according to Dawn, the genetics lady at uni, 80% of people chose a partner or are attracted to people with simular phenotypes( things you see)meaning they have simular genes... This explains the you know who thing, as I was just looking for simular heights... Hahaha...

Gonna make a myspace....

Well I really dunno what to write... Am bloody bored. Stupid work. Stupid Hellweg Int. I resent you

6 more hours... [

So, I am at Mum's work right now and I am bored out of my brains. I was meant to be doing work, sorting out dusty folders and stuff, except Albert got involved so things took ages to get started.

I was meant to make Albert some coffee, but none of the cups were clean so being the domestic goddess I am, I cleaned up the entire kitchenette(sp.) area, and made it look very sparkly.

I finally found a cup that would fit under the machine, and got some milk from the big kitchen so everything is good now, except by the time ALbert finished supervising Mum and I removing stupid tabs from folders, the coffee would have been cold.

Now Mum and Albert are in a meeting with a guy and an interpreter to tell him he's now full time or something... Quite a good looking guy actually. Last time I was here I was told that the job agency said that he may not speak English wel, but picks up when he goes out every weekend.

So, what else is up? Argh, stupid Connex trains sent me my fine for not having my concession card on me. Cost so much, $158. I can get out of it too as it is my first offence but it is a bugger of a thing to have happened...

Anyhow, I think the meetig is over now so I better not let Mum see I was using her computer for non work related stuff, though I am not quite sure what else she could think I was using it for all this time... Well cya

So, I dunno, thought I should just write something random as I havn't done anything involving this live journal thing in ages.
On uni holidays now for two weeks which is pretty good, so there's really nothing that I have to do for the next two weeks.
Yesterday I sat in the sun for ages with Mum and Rachel kept making us drinks... Had some Yager bombs or however you spell them which were great, but I have probably increased my chance of developing skin cancer alot... We're all gonna die some day so I guess it's no biggy.
That's about all for this exact second so I will go now.

Pretty slow week... and even slower weekend. Nothing too exciting to report.

Um... I like stuff, and I saw lots of trees today. I tried to climb one but it did not seem to work too well, so that's enough said about that.

I need to "spruce" up my room... I finally took down the Blink 182 posters and re-arranged the Ramones cos Blink is over, and I was finally able to accept that... hahhaa... so pathetic.

Uni tomorrow which sucks big time. Cannot wait for the holidays as I'll be working for Mum and I am gonna try and go out as much as I can...

That's about all...

Just got home from Uni... Had a strange day. Full of so many happy things, but shitty, shitty things as well.

I woke up, and everything was going well... Being the first day of spring I thoughht a nice white, flow in the breeze skirt was in order. On way the to the kitchen I walked into a box and cut my leg. About an inch length cut.

Had a great train trip, good book, nice seat with no noisy people. Everything was going well. Then at Melbourne Central I found out I didn't have my concession card as I had thought and got my name taken down and in trouble.

Went to class and all was well. Then came the time to do my talk. It was actually a great talk and powerpoint, but I got tongue tied and yeah. Then I used the word, "smooshy" to describe the creation of the mountain ranges when I had to answer a question.

Hung with Lauren and then caught the train home.

On the walk home I admired the GREAT weather. Then I saw a magpie. It flew up onto the post and was watching me. I watched it and then walked off the foot path onto the nature strip and fell over. I landed on the only part of nature strip that was gravel and dirt. I now have cuts all over me. So painful. Really need a drink.

The landscaper in the front yard gave me a look like, "what the hell happened to you" as I was covered in dirt, wattle and blood. My wrist hurts too...

That's all that's bad so far. Hopefully my day will get better. sigh

Didn't really help that I went to P&P Wednesday (parma and pot, for those of you playing at home). Think I shocked a few when I ordered a gin and tonic, but got a pot with lunch so it was all made up for...

Hello... [

[ mood | productive ]

Such a lame title for my entry today... Not too much going on. Had Uni and got really angry at Connex for making me late and miss a lecture. Got a test for it next week so it's even more annoying.

Genetics test next week too so I better start studying for it. Havn't had much motivation recently. Got quite a busy few weeks when it comes to Uni, and then yay, Mid Semester break.

My day's been happy, and I have had alot of time to think about random things, and people. Been a few days of "finding the silver lining" of EVERYTHING! Gonna be more of a glass half full sort of girl.

We watched a video on Exotic Diseases facing the world of Agriculture... The music in the background reminded me of some sort of holocaust doco. It was suspenseful(sp.) as sheep, pigs and cows dropped to their knees (do they have knees?), in pain as foot and mouth disease took over their bodies... V. interesting though...

Finally jumped on the bandwagon and started to read the Di Vinci Code. So far it's not that bad. Is keeping my interest. At the moment I don't really understand the need for the books like "Cracking the Di Vinci Code" as it doesn't seem too confusing.

Am I spelling Di Vinci correctly? I could look it up but really I don't give a damn if those in the bloggin world think I am a fool for not being able spell it correctly.

Have got Uni tomorrow for three hours. My desire to go is very small, but I know that I should.

What else is going on right now?

Not much...

Might be going to some Ute thing with Steph... I'm not quite sure of all the details but she mentioned the words swag and camping site so I am putting my own picture together. Hopefully more people will go, some in particular. Lol... Not really... As Nat knows the glass is half full and I have a conclusion.

Lol... Just re-reading that it looks as though I wrote concussion... I don't have one of those.

OK, well I am off now...

I tried to download my tutorial questions for farm animal biology but as of yet, they are not online so I will not be doing them...

Bye for now

Very Early... [

[ mood | dorky ]

I got up at 5:45 this morning. Not too happy. Mum and Albert had a meeting/function thing in Glen Waverly, and cos it was pouring with rain I didn't want to have to walk to the station so it was decided they'd drop me off at Glen Waverly station at about 6:55... Too Early.

This meant that I got to Melbourne Central very early, and Uni very early. I mean the main library just opened and the LFR library doesn't even open till 9am.

I decided I'd come to the Computer Lab to check my emails and stuff cos it is a little more exciting than sitting in the common room freezing to death. Even with a coat it is cold in there and I have to ask "What are the Eskimo's thinking?". There's no heating switch or anything in the room, I've looked. I even fiddled with some electronic thing on the wall in an attempt to warm the place up which did not work much to my dismay. I was glad however i didn't blow the room or anyone else up by playing with it.

Pretty crappy weather. I like cold weather to a point, but I am not too fond of rain. I like or love snow. Hopefully we'll go away this year over the summer break and head off to Finland again so I can go to the snow. I also love open fire places and snow, so you come in from the cold, and then all the snow flakes melt cos of the warmth of the fire.

Well. I've wasted enough time now so off to my first lecture and only lecture of the day, Farm Animal Biology. Then I have 4 hours break and then a prac where I have to cut up mice of different ages and weigh their body parts.

EEWWWWWWW!!!!

Had a Ball, at the Ag. Ball [
August 23rd, 2006 | 5:42pm
]
[ mood | hopeful ]

OMG! The ball was so fantastic. Everyone looked great except for the girl in the red dress with the red platform shoes. As Steph said, take away the red dye and you have a potato sack. I don't mean to sound bitchy, but it's the truth...

The Ball was at Leondra on the Yarra which was a great venue. Stayed with Lauren at the Quest on Kew, we had a stove, and I invited many people to come and have some steak, most of which refused.

The girls bathroom was the place to be. Much better than the boys cos I asked Ben if the guys bathroom was exciting and he said no. Met some very funny 2nd year Ag. girls who kept us up to date with all the going ons of the night...

Um, during Footloose, my foot got so loose I slipped over and my shoe went flying... An hour later after searching, and being asked if my name was Cinderella, a guy responded to the DJs hetic calls, and I got my shoe back... I had to dance with him to get it back, but I didn't mind. Lol...

It was open bar, and getting a drink was hard... Finally got into the red wine, and then one of the guys got me my own giant bottle of beer... Stole it from over the bar... Didn't drink very much of it, but in my tipsy state, I thought it was the most exciting "present" I'd ever recieved...

The after party was held at Cheers in Glenferrie, and after a long cold shoeless walk, we got there and it wasn't too exciting... Sat on th couches and chatted...

Lauren and I at about 3:30am and then found some randoms who wanted kebabs... What is it with drunk guys and kebabs? Went to 7-11 and yeah...

Feet were so tired... Had a great night... Nat fell in love, and my heart *flutters*.... Hehehe...

Test Tomorrow [

[ mood | ditzy ]

I have a test. It's tomorrow and it will be on Microeconomics which I had hoped I'd escaped from last year. I missed it on Monday and I had studied like mad on the weekend so now I just have to review my notes.

I really hate Fridays. Well tomorrow should be a little bit better as I have to go shopping after Uni and go and get some more stuff for the Ag. Ball... Well it's not actually only for Ag people but I think it's cooler to steal it and make it mine.

AH... that's about all... I have such a bring life. Oh, I cooked dinner, well the sauce for dinner this afternoon cos my Mum asked me to so I did. Wow, what a crap sentence that was.

Better go before I lose my mind again...

I Made This Thingy! [

[ mood | sick ]

So, um... I decided to try and make a Live Journal cos everyone cool has one... Well Jenny and Ron, and they are cool and my friends so I want one too...

I have all the time in the world right now cos I am sick. I am lucky though as the doctor gave me these cool little capsules, maroon and yucky yellow which I have to take... Pretty impressive I reckon.

So, I'm not too sure where the picture at the top of the page went, but as I am not really a html codey sort of person this will have to do. I mainly gave up the search for a code helper once I clicked a link which looked innocent enough, but turned out to be child pornography, and I hit back and closed my eyes but it took ages to go away and now I am scarred(sp.) for life and yeah.

One day I'll get some sort of knowledge of how to do html stuff... We did do some Dreamweaver in It and Comm. last semester and I got H1's for it, but I don't think it'll help very much in this situation.

Okay, well I am gonna try to improve my page thing cos I wanna make it look nice cos Jenny's does.

Love Rebecca
